Settlement Date

The date that the sale of an MBS is settled and funds are paid or transferred. It may be the same day that the securities are issued to the designated book-entry account.

Settlement Date

For the Guarantor and MultiLender Swap programs, the Settlement Date is the date when Freddie Mac purchases the Mortgages and sells the UMBS®, MBS or ARM PCs to the Seller. For purposes of this Guide, the Settlement Date is the Funding Date. Mortgage delivery must be made in advance to meet the established Settlement Date.
