CO-SIGNER — A second party who signs a promissory note together with the primary borrower. COST APPROACH — One of three methods in the appraisal process. An analysis in which a value estimate estimated accrued depreciation, then adding the market value of the land. COTENANCY — Ownership of an interest in a particular parcel of land by more than one person; e.g. tenancy in common, joint tenancy. COUNTER OFFER — A response to an offer to enter into a contract, changing some of the terms of the terms create a binding contract unless accepted by the original offeror.
